Well, the first thing to do, you can book with the author, and then transformed into a screenplay and sell it to a production company, which in turn sell to a studio and make a movie. You can do everything, but we start by the author and get the film rights to the story.
Well, we can all make a film. The question is, could be a good movie? The answer to this, I would say probably not. Not without reason to change things, and season to add things to it. It was a good book, but not really film, I think.
