This could be a legal issue, depending on the state, disabling a safety device, and it is an accident, it is responsible. A lawyers dream so to speak.
Your boat trailer, and probably more than the £ 3,000 limit of most states to impose on the parties to the trailer, without brakes.

The classification of 6000 pounds, is almost a standard for the axles and brakes.

Thousands of people are of similar size boat trailer without brakes. If your trailer has brakes, drive well and carefully, you will not problems without trailer brakes. When he would give up to make a safety device that the following sequence: tire on the tractor and trailer, a good balance of weight with a heavy weight on the trailer hitch and titles to work the brake and hazard lights, etc.. etc., especially at the rear of the car unit continues to anticipate the next delay and stops, in other words, the device as a semi-Engine not all the time. Happy surfing!

The gross sales in excess of the needs brakes, and they have the sounds of it - there is no insurance, no functioning brakes if the GVM exceeds the limit.

Confirm your legal needs of your local FSA in accordance with the rules - unless you want to lose everything in an avoidable accident.

In Australia, the loss of cargo, more than 750 kg at all times has raised must be stopped - that's about 1650 pounds. And more than 2500 kilograms must be positioned cutting stopping distance.
